Pop Art! |

Experience the fun of creating graphic art with vivid inks,
cut stencils, and screens. Design your own CD cover, poster,
and silk-screened t-shirt as you explore art by Pop Art
Masters Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Roy Lichtenstein.

Susquehanna House Gallery welcomes local artist Renee Evans to

educate children 4-8 years of age about how to be safe in
many areas such as home, school, or even when they are out

Game, Set, Match! This summer, First Serve Tennis Academy is
partnering with the Windsor Recreation Commission to offer
tennis camps for children ages 3-13 at the Freysville Park
Tennis Courts! Camps run Monday through Thursday, and Friday
is reserved for a rain date, if needed. Learn the basics and
improve your skills! Grips, footwork, ground strokes,
volleys, serves, and tennis etiquette will be taught through
a series of fun games and drills! More advanced players will
be introduced to competitive games and more challenging
drills. Age appropriate equipment will be used, and groups
will be formed according to age
& ability. Please send your player with a racket and
something to drink! Junior Campers should also bring a light
snack for break time. All balls and other equipment will be
provided by FSTA. Each participant

York Township Recreation Summer Camp Program -
Am. Red Cross 3-day Babysitter's Training Camp |
|
Start your summer break off right by participating in this
three day Babysitter’s Training Camp. Girls and boys between
the ages of 11and15 years - have fun and make new friends as
you learn the skills necessary to become the best babysitter
in your neighborhood.
• On Day One
campers will learn leadership skills,
professionalism,
basic child care skill such as diapering and feeding, safe play and
how to handle bed time issues.
• On Day Two practice on manikins as you learn
lifesaving skills
such as CPR, rescue breathing and how to respond to an infant or
child who is choking. Campers will receive a Red Cross certification
in Infant and Child CPR.
• On Day Three earn a Red Cross First Aid
certification as you
learning how to handle injuries to muscle and bones, how to
control bleeding and more. You will also learn about disasters that
can occur in our area and how to prepare for them. |
All training materials,
free lunch each day and a camp tee shirt are included in the
cost of this activity filled camp.

hand-held Global Positioning Systems. They will search for
treasure boxes and leave replacement “valuables” for other
groups of “geocachers.” They will learn the fundamentals for
GPS technology and its practical uses in this indoor &
outdoor class. Please dress appropriately as half of the
class will be in a computer lab and the other half will be
outside.

Summer Day Camp |

Are you looking for a safe and fun-filled summer vacation for
your child?
Register now for Windsor Area Recreation Commission’s Summer
Day Camp! The summer program is a total of eight weeks, June
21-August 13, 2010 from 7:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through
Friday at Emanuel Lutheran Church and Freysville Park. This
program is for children who are ages 6-12. Activities will
include: sports, crafts, group activities, guest speakers,
indoor and outdoor activities, free time and even more field
trips then last year! Bus transportation will be provided
for all field trips.
All campers must bring a packed lunch every day,
non-microwaveable. One snack a day will be provided to
campers by Recreation Commission. The cost for the program
is $610.00 for residents of Windsor Township and Windsor
Borough and $620.00 for non-residents (that’s $76.25 per
week & $15.25 per day-resident rate). Parents may enroll a
second family member (brother or sister) and receive $15.00
off. Payment plans are available. Must pay at least half the
registration cost at the time of registering your child(ren)-$305
R or $310 NR
Registrations will begin April 1st, and are taken on
a first come first serve basis. Payment must be made at
the time of registration for Day Camp or your child will not
be registered. There are no part-time care or vacation rates
available. Payment for the full eight weeks of care is
required. Once payment is received by the Windsor Area
Recreation Commission and deposited, no registration monies
will be refunded at any time for the summer day camp.
Deadline for all registration is by June 1, 2010. Day camp
is limited to 35 children, so register early. Application
forms are available below - or the Windsor Township
Building. Parent handbooks will be available after April 1st
too! Please pick up a complete guide of what your child’s
summer vacation will entail!
Field trips include, visits to the Wisehaven Pool, Bowling,
Mini Golf, Reptile Program at Nixon Park, Roller skating,
Bike safety program, LaserTag & Laser light show, Lake
Tobias, Indian Steps Museum and North Museum of Natural
History & Science.
