10:00 AM - 11:00 AM    Troy Miller Tennis Lessons - Beginner Skills Tennis Lessons
BEGINNER SKILLS CLINICSThe 6 week beginner skills class focuses on those who are just getting started with their tennis journey.  Fun, exciting, technical and informative are good ways to describe what each hour will be like.  Beginner skills will involve a lot of technique reinforcement on ground strokes volleys and serves.   Students will be able to learn how to perform the perfect swing and understand why the techniques work.  Each class will be focused on drills that lock in techniques and will also have some live ball drills where students can play and compete against each other. INTERMEDIATE SKILLS CLINICSThe 6 week intermediate skills class is a class that focuses on the  techniques that are  important to all strokes in the sport as well as a strong focus on point play development.   Singles and doubles strategies will be introduced and practiced often as this class has more of a focus on live ball drills.  Students will learn how to keep score and will be introduced to match play. When a student completes the intermediate skills class they will be a full blown tennis player ready to compete.In the event of inclement weather, sessions will be moved indoors to Wisehaven Tennis Center

1:00 PM - 2:15 PM    Red Lion Boys Spring Basketball Clinics - 5/19 Session
Join the Red Lion HS and JH Boys Basketball coaching staffs and players for a series of 75 minute clinics this spring. Open to all boys in Grades 1 through 7 for the 23-24 school year. Players will be grouped with other players of similar age and ability when possible.Instruction will include:Individual Offensive SkillsShooting, Ball-Handling, Passing, FootworkTeam Concepts1 on 1, 3 on 3, and 5 on 5 CompetitionsParticipants should come dressed in practice appropriate attire, bring a drink, and a basketball for each clinic. Zumba is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels, with modifications so everyone can find their own groove. So what are you waiting for? We’ll z-ya on the dance floor!Instructor: Gina MeinlGina has been part of the Zumba family for 15 years. She started as a student in the back of the room, shy and reserved, but once that music came on, she couldn’t stop herself from having the best time of her life! With the support of the Zumba community, she’s lost 100lbs and gained so much confidence. She’s been an instructor for 4 years now, teaching all over York county. She’s also certified to teach Zumba kids and Zumba kids jr. She loves bringing the joy of Zumba to her students and helping them feel confident, happy, and empowered!

The kids will have an independent project during down time. It is possible that all of the projects listed will not be completed because of limited time. The instructor will include a painting project, clay project, sculpture and drawing. Grades 1-3 Participants will draw subject matter associated with American history, such as George Washington, Johnny Appleseed and Paul Bunyan, Fourth of July. They will identify Symbols of America, draw them and apply them to their art. A drawing book will be compiled. They will become aware of various art works and artists. They will be able to mix colors and be knowledgeable of the various brushes and uses before painting. Each lesson is professionally developed and the projects are created by the art instructor. They will be associated with a famous American, Folk Tale, American artist or American symbol, in history. The kids will have an independent project during down time. It is possible that all of the projects listed will not be completed because of limited time. The instructor will include a painting project, clay project, sculpture and drawing. Grades 1-3 Participants will draw subject matter associated with American history, such as George Washington, Johnny Appleseed and Paul Bunyan, Fourth of July. They will identify Symbols of America, draw them and apply them to their art. A drawing book will be compiled. They will become aware of various art works and artists. They will be able to mix colors and be knowledgeable of the various brushes and uses before painting. For players who love the game!  True to its name, players will show up for “sandlot” play twice a week for 75 minutes, following a 15 minute “stretch and throw” warm-up. Camp is exclusively coach pitch so players do not need to worry with pitch counts or taxing their arms.  Sandlot Camp will allow players to hang out with their friends, play different positions and enjoy America’s Pastime.  Players will be divided by age; space is limited to 24 registrants per age group.
