| Active Agile Recreational Paddlers (AARP) Tour
|
|
Enjoy an afternoon of casual paddling on the
Susquehanna River with like-minded adults! Experienced touring
guides will give you a short introduction to touring kayaking.
Launch your boats and travel at a comfortable pace. You will
tour some of the river’s favorite spots. A lunch will be
packed for you to enjoy while you are on the water. Touring
guides will be ready to point out wildlife along the way. This
tour is suitable for beginners. Fee includes: tour, guide,
kayak, paddles, pfd’s and lunch

Spring Scalin' Down! Weight Loss Program (8
weeks) |

Are you looking to shed those unwanted pounds before
summer? This unique program requires YOU to be accountable and
responsible on a weekly basis. Privately weigh-in once a week
with a fitness coach and receive pointers on exercise and
nutrition. You will select a time to come in Thursdays to
weight in and receive your weekly pointer. Weigh in times will
be determined the first week of class. Weekly prizes will be
awarded to the top “losers!” Both men and women are encouraged
to sign up. What have you got to lose? Sign up today! You will
be contacted the week before class begins.
Note: This is not a structured class. This program
is geared towards helping you monitor your weight loss and
providing literature on various exercises and nutrition.

Taught by instructor Amy Lau of UTA Red Lion Karate. This
program is designed to teach you the basics of self defense
and protecting yourself. The personal benefits you will
receive are: Awareness, Control and Technique. Self Defense is
targeted for individual growth and challenge. Seniors are
strongly encouraged to attend. Don’t miss out on a great
opportunity for a very reasonable price.

| Co-Ed Pick-Up Sand Volleyball

Join us in the sand at Freysville Park. The courts will be
open for pick-up volleyball. No organized teams permitted.
Come as often or as little as you like. No pre-registration is
required.
Time: 6:30 pm - dusk
Day/Dates: Mondays, May 19 - August 18 (no volleyball
May 28)

This class will focus on cardiovascular fitness/endurance
and overall body conditioning by using training methods
utilized by kick-boxers, grapplers and mixed martial artists.
These methods are in drill format only, with some partnered
drills. Bring a yoga/pilates type mat. If you’re looking to
get into great shape, then this class has your name on it!!
This class will be taught by Chris Williams. No class on
federal holidays.

The goal of training is to learn street effective self
defense in order to protect yourself and your loved ones. What
is street effective self defense? Simple. However you respond
must work in ‘real time’ against an uncooperative
opponent/assailant who is in constant motion. We will focus on
both common and unique methods of training so you can adapt to
various environments in a realistic manner. Drills and
universal patterns of motion will be taught enabling you to
quickly retain the information. Training equipment will be
provided. Wear loose, comfortable workout clothing and
tennis/running shoes. Please bring a notebook. This class will
be taught by Chris Williams. No class on federal holidays.
